Kichwa culture - dialect

in
by Ullkana Artisans

Forgotten language, every time it survives within a minority, however, Otavaleños use it as their main dialect to communicate with their family, friends and community. They live commercializing this language, it is a tradition that passes from family to family, which means that in Ecuador, it does not die. This dialect passes through the entire Andes mountain range, from Ecuador to Chile, with its variations.

It is very common to see how on weekends the Otavalo market houses families who sell ponchos and wool blankets, made by hand while they speak in their language. Ullkana, as an Ecuadorian brand, agrees that this dialect ought to be preserved, that its origins be respected and that its propagation be encouraged in the places where it is used.
